I occasionally accept a limited number of commissioned wildlife and animal portrait works each year. These pieces are created in the same oil painting process as my original works — with a focus on presence, character, and emotional depth rather than decorative portraiture.

A commission is not a reproduction. It begins with a conversation about your subject, your vision, and the feeling you would like the piece to hold — and it ends with a unique original painting created entirely for you.

Availability is intentionally limited. Each year only a small number of commissions are accepted, ensuring every work receives the full attention it deserves.

The Commission
Process

From first conversation to finished canvas — a collaborative journey in three stages.

01

Inquiry

Reach out with details about your subject, your vision, and the feeling you would like the piece to hold. Include any reference photographs if you have them — the more context you share, the better.

02

Consultation

We discuss size, composition, surface (linen or panel), framing options, timeline, and investment — before any commitment is made. This conversation is unhurried and completely without obligation.

03

Creation

The work is painted with the same care and attention as original studio paintings — in oils, built up in careful layers over weeks. Progress updates are shared throughout.

Medium

Oil on linen or oil on panel — the same surfaces used for all original works.

Timeline

Typically 6–12 weeks from confirmation, depending on size and complexity.

Investment

Discussed during consultation. A 50% deposit is required to begin; the balance is due upon completion.

Subjects

Wildlife, conservation subjects, and animal portraits. Each subject is considered individually.

"I approach each commission as I would any fine art study — not as a commercial task, but as an invitation to find something true in the subject in front of me."
— Agnieszka Elliott
