We live in a world of glass and pixels, where wild things feel increasingly far away. Agnieszka Elliott paints to close that distance.
Born in Kraków, Poland, she is entirely self-taught — driven not by formal training but by a deep, lifelong love for the natural world. What began as a quiet hobby became an award-winning career recognized internationally, with features across art media and a regular presence at Artists for Conservation exhibitions in Vancouver, Canada.
Her paintings are not simply beautiful objects. They are invitations — into the lives of creatures rarely seen, into landscapes that ask to be remembered. Each work is painted with care and genuine reverence for its subject. A defining piece, Advocate for Equilibrium, was inspired by the story of Yellowstone's Wolf 8. It remains one of her most personal works, and one that continues to move people long after they've left the room.
Agnieszka believes that art is one of the few things that needs no translation. A painting of a wild animal in its landscape speaks to something universal — a sense of wonder that lives in all of us, regardless of where we come from or what language we speak. She paints with that in mind, and with a quiet hope that her work might inspire others to look a little more closely at the world we share.
She donates regularly to conservation, most recently supporting the Herder Snow Leopard Coexistence Project in Nepal — because the animals she paints deserve more than admiration.
To welcome one of her works into your home is to carry a piece of that wild world with you. A reminder, hung on a wall, that beauty still exists out there — and that it is worth protecting.
When she steps away from her easel, you'll find her with a camera in hand, something good on the stove, and two devoted German Shepherds close at her heels.
